Lake Scow Sailboat - Stevenson Projects
Article By ShortyPeter Stevenson is a legend in the home built boat world. He designed and built many great looking plywood boats and published books and plans about them. This is the Lake Scow Sailboat. It is sort of like a box boat but instead of having parallel sides, this hull has flat sides that are narrower at the bow so it is sort of wedge shaped.
The plans to build this boat are published in the book "Sailboats you can build" along with plans for a Circle Cat, which is a 14 catamarann and the Skipjack, an 11 foot long daysailor which sort or resembles an open cockpit version of Stevenson's most famous boat design called the Weekender.
